The Vision Behind Just Train Overtime
Scotty Olivo is the founder and head performance coach of Just Train Overtime, a training philosophy built on discipline, intent, and the belief that real progress comes from consistent work — not shortcuts. As a former college and professional baseball player, Scotty brings firsthand competitive experience to every athlete he coaches, pairing it with a strong educational background in human performance and sport science.
Scotty earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Performance and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Exercise & Sport Science at Wayne State University, focusing on strength and conditioning, athlete development, and sport psychology. His coaching approach blends academic knowledge with real-world application, allowing him to create evidence-based programs that make athletes stronger, faster, and more resilient.
At the core of Just Train Overtime is Scotty’s philosophy: train with intent, compete with purpose, and outwork yesterday. Each session is built around movement quality, explosive athleticism, and the mental toughness required to sustain long-term growth. With experience coaching at the high school, collegiate, and private levels, Scotty is committed to developing athletes who not only perform better, but understand the process behind their success.
